Auto makers - another industry looking for government help
Automobile industry is one of the parts of the economy which was really hurt by the crisis. The demand for cars has dropped radically and most of the biggest companies struggle to survive in these hard times. They have to cut costs and… some of them ask the US government for bailout.
The “big 3″ - GM, Ford and Chrysler asked the goverment for $25 bailout to rescue their financial situation. Their position is not very good, for example GM shares has fallen around 90 percent recently. You can watch a video about the issue below.
